¿Somos la especie equivocada?

(EUDEBA) Green Pavilion, Stand T917.

This book proposes to the reader as an observer located committed acts of our species, from a perspective based on his eventful developments and complex and subtle features of a brain that maximizes social skills, analytical and creative or inventive. From that vantage point, the horizon was venturing into this, set by the product of our actions globally. It is also purpose of this book to promote an approach that values \u200b\u200bhumility of our casual origin, as an integral and necessary sensitivity and social and ecological ethics.

Currently, since a tens of thousands of years the only known species prevails with capacity to develop technology with which to explore outer space and subatomic. But that same capacity has added uncertainty to its future as a community and as a species. The alternative of a process of rehabilitation, or emergency of a new culture or not represented by members of our own species, in any case arising from her, "traces the possibility of a hopeful horizon, though full of challenges.

These challenges suggest the need, rather than pass through life with pride or negligence, we deploy the sails of our desires solidarity, throwing the burden Aliger banal, self-destructive or corrupt, and embrace the wind, the horizon is far away ... JAC

Año 2206 Invasión a Buenos Aires

There is a stylistic element that predominates in the literary production of Jorge Colombo: wisdom in the use of anachronism, the privileged literary device to account for a shift in time. Proof of this are works such as Adventures of a Buenos Aires in colonial times ponderable or play Encounters at the inn "Three Kings."

The lucid use of anachronism is key to this fictional construct that is Year 2206. Invasion of Buenos Aires. The polar icecaps have melted, the possession of treasures is vital for life and the "land of Suyai" richest and located in the country of Argentaria, are repeated object of conquest. No doubt Year 2206 is a novel that can be ascribed to the genre of science fiction, or read as a dystopia of the race penetrating the Orwellian 1984 or Bradbury's Fahrenheit. Science fiction is an imaginative display while a disturbing warning; Year 2206 belongs by right to the best of the genre.

La logia de los anillos de amatista

(Grupo Editor Latinoamericano) Publications Argentinas, Yellow Pavilion, Booth 2505.

Authors as diverse as the pragmatist philosopher Richard Rorty English and Czech novelist Milan Kundera converge, however, on the assumption of cognitive character: not the strenuous tests of sociology, nor history books, or the weary comparative statistics, the ultimate vehicle of knowledge has come to be fiction in general and the novel in particular. The Lodge of Amethyst Ring by Jorge Colombo, along the line confirms such a hypothesis. It is, indeed, a privileged vehicle of knowledge without giving up at any moment to the narrative flow, the momentum of the story of adventure, suspense that stems from the chain of incidents. His characters, thanks to the "gates" open discards into pits, emerges a colonial Buenos Aires and are deployed around the world past, reread the History, have, in the same event, the decrypted and rewritten. As in "The Purloined Letter" or "The Maltese Falcon", to name just two examples of a rich tradition, "here also order the continuation of a substantial part of the plot. As posed by Rorty and Kundera, The Lodge Amethyst Rings tells a story and, at a time, reformulated history.
